Also known by the name Noughts and Crosses it is a very common game among children of all ages. It is a game played on paper with a pencil or pen. It is a two-player game that is denoted as X and O. The players has to mark the spaces in a 3×3 grid and in order to win, one needs to place three of their marks either in a horizontal, vertical, or diagonal row.

  • Its history can be traced back to ancient Egypt. In the country, such game boards have been found on roofing tiles dating from around 1300 BCE.
  • The game is known as Tic-tac-toe in America whereas in England it is noted with the name either noughts and crosses or Xs and Os.
