Once in your life, you must have wondered about what time traveling actually is. I for sure have thought about getting into the machine and going back to relive those moments I miss. Now this man here has made claims that he actually has done so. According to reports and sources on the internet, John Titor is a time traveler from 2036. The name popped up on several bulletin boards during the period of 2000 and 2001.

Facts about John Titor

  • The poster claimed that he was an American military service member who time traveled for a mission by the army from 2036. He stated that he was based in Tampa, Florida.
  • The poster initially used the name TimeTravel_0 on Time Travel Institute forums. His first post was made on November 2, 2000. He made his last post in late March 2001.
  • The name John Titor came to public notice in January 2001.
  • According to sources, he has made a few indistinct and specific predictions for various events in 2004 and the coming years. None of his predictions ever came true. His predictions included a nuclear war.
  • Although he seemed sure about his telling, there were many inconsistencies as well as inaccuracy, which led to the belief that the whole occurrence was an intricate hoax.
  • In 2009, an investigator wrapped up the case saying that the whole episode was probably the conception of Larry Haber, a Florida entertainment lawyer. His brother a Morey who is a computer scientist likely supports him.
  • According to the postings, Titor was allocated with a governmental time-travel project. He said he was commissioned to go back to 1975 to repossess an IBM 5100 computer. He declared that he was assigned the project given the fact that his paternal grandfather was directly involved in the assembly and programming of the 5100.
  • He explained unadvertised features of the 5100 computers, which was later confirmed by the company to be true. This happening led to the theory that a computer scientist is behind the deception.
  • The poster stated that he stopped in the year 2000 on private grounds. He said that he visited his family in Florida.
  • Some of his other claims included the threat of Creutzfeldt–Jakob disease spread through beef products, the possibility of civil war in the US, World War III.
