Is Game Of Thrones Based On Real Event????

Once or twice this question must have emerged in the Got’s fans’ mind. It can clearly be stated that the series is based on a fictional event which is very much evident with the existence of Night Walkers and fire showering dragons. However, this whole explanation has another face.

On taking the analysis deeper one realizes that several events in the series are inspired by a real-life event in the past. The famous Wall that separates the North and white walker was actually present in the past with the name Hadrian Wall. The not so good relation shared between Starks and Lannisters marks similarities with the war between York and Lancaster.

Something similar to the popular Red Wedding which was the clear vengeance of Walder Frey as Robb did not marry his daughter was also organized by Richard Neville. One of the most loved and respected character Eddard Stark who stood for loyalty, justice and truth were much alike Richard. Like Eddard Stark, Richard also proclaimed himself as the Protector Of The Realm.

Both the characters stood against the then king’s wife and faced an unfortunate end. They were prosecuted and their head beheaded. There are many such similarities of Got Characters with real-life personalities. It can thus be said that the series does not come strictly from one event but is a systematic allegation of several event along with fiction and imagination.
