How to make a post on Instagram through PC/MAC

You can post on Instagram through PC/MAC with the 3-second workaround we show you below. No more transferring from computer to cloud to mobile! If you work with high-quality images and videos, you might find it really frustrated to transfer from PC to phone and then post. Its obviously easy to create content than phone and when you can not post it on the go its seems real up in arms.

I have been there and tried various tools that are more complicated than this easy 3-second workaround which I have shared in this article.

Keep it simple!

1. Go to your profile via signing in to your account:

Use your PC or mac to sign in to your account. Then go to your profile from the feeds. And since you are here you might as well would like to follow us on Instagram for fun memes and interesting updates.

2. Open Web Developer Tools:

Click on the navigation icon to open the option. I am using this in Firefox so it is the three horizontal bars, in Chrome you will see the three dots.

Go to Web Developer as shown in the above picture and select Inspector which is the second option in the menu. Or just right click on the page and open Inspect element.

Following any of the options above will deliver the same results, so no matter how you opened the developer tools, you should now see the developers panel on the right.

3. Click the “Devices” icon:

Select the device icon from the inspector as shown in the picture above.

4. Select a phone model:

Once you open the developer tools, use the selection options in the top bar to select a phone model. If you’ve never done this before, your default setting will probably be set to “responsive.” You can change it to any mobile device version, for instance I have set it to iPhone 6/7/8 iOS 11. Select it and now that you’ve set up your browser to mimic a device, you’re almost ready to post.

5. Hit the “refresh” button on your browser.

Now the “+” sign appears on your Instagram interface, allowing you to upload and publish images from your desktop or laptop.

So, in case you are doing it again and refreshing the page imply doesn’t work repeat the last step of choosing the phone model again and refreshing.
