Let me first explain to you about Goth. It is deemed to be a subculture. Meaning they are a group of people inside a society that set apart themselves from the parent society to which they belong. The culture started to bloom in the early 1980s in the United Kingdom. Its formation is credited to the fans of gothic rock, which is an offshoot of the post-punk music genre.

  • The name Goth is derived from the gothic rock music genre. Not many people know that music critic John Stickney created gothic rock in 1967.
