Description

The movie was marketed as Live Die Repeat: Edge of Tomorrow on home media. It is adapted from the 2004 Japanese novel All You Need Is Kill. The novel is writtem by Hiroshi Sakurazaka. The film and distribution rights are owned by the American studio Warner Bros.

Plot

The film is set in future and it shows that Europe is invaded by an alien race. In the movie, Tom Cruse if playing Major William Cage. He is forced by his superiors to join a landing operation against the aliens. With no combat experience, he go with it and is killed in the war. We see in the film that when he dies the story starts again from the start. He takes some time to figure out that he is stuck in a time loop. He then meets Special Forces warrior Rita Vrataski who helps him in sharpening his fighting skills. In order to get out of it he has to win from the extraterrestrial invaders.

Facts

• Blunt opened about her journey in the movie saying that the metal suit was so heavy that she started to cry when she wore it. Its weight was around 85 pounds and she had to shoot in the suit for five months.
• In the early scenes there is a scene where blunt punches a young soldier who says, “Bloody hell, it’s the Full Metal Bitch.” Not many people are aware that the solider was her real-life younger brother, who had a guest appearance in the film.
• All the action scenes of Tom Cruise was performed by himself.
• The movie was almost entirely shot at Leavesden Studios, where the “Harry Potter” films were filmed.
• For the cast and crew of the film cruise spent over 100,000 dollars on a lavish wrap party, however he himself did not attend as he was finishing his scenes for the movie.
• Initially, Brad Pitt was considered for the part of Bill Cage.
