Today’s episode starts with Anupama saying that Malti Devi must understand why Anupama took such a step as a mother cannot see anything beyond their children. Anupama says that she would decide the same thing over and over again as she realized that her daughter needed her by her side. With the burden of guilt, Anupama tries to explain how she proceeded to leave even though God showed her numerous signs to stop.
But in the end, she came back to comfort her child. Anuj gets emotional hearing Anupama and feels his heart feeling a bit light. As he thought that his behavior might have burdened Anupama from leaving. However, Malti Devi does not look amused at all by Anupama’s long speech. And starts clapping with intended mockery for Anupama and her great motherhood.

Anupamaa Written Update 18th July 2023
Malti Devi asks Anupama why she is the one who would have to pay the price for Anupama’s great motherhood by losing her entire life’s reputation. Anupama gets silent as Malti Devi says that Anupama has destroyed her entire life’s hard work and respect earned to become great by herself. Malti Devi asks Anupama why she dropped Malti Devi by cutting her wings if she herself did not want to fly and see dreams.
Reminding Anupama about the Gurukul and its condition that Malti Devi told her the first day. Malti Devi says that she never forced Anupama to be with them but regrets that she decided to place such a responsibility on Anupama. Malti Devi says that Anupama never became completely committed to the Gurukul ever and asks who called Anupama while glaring at Anuj.
As Malti Devi walks toward Anuj while saying that he would become the biggest hurdle in Anupama’s dreams. Anupama blacks her and says that her coming back has nothing to do with any of her family members. Anupama says that she had another reason to come back which is Maaya leaving everyone confused but Anupama reveals that Maaya died because of her.

Anupamaa Latest Episode
After explaining the accident, Anupama says that for Maaya who sacrificed her life to save Anupama, Anupama decided to sacrifice her dreams. Anupama tells everyone that she saw Maaya at the time of leaving and remembers what she experienced during the takeoff. A flashback shows Anupama in the plane when suddenly Maaya calls out to her and asks her no to go and return to Anu as she cannot live without her mother.
Anupama says that there are others who will take care of Anu but Maaya says that no one takes care of a child like their mother. Maaya tells Anupama that she wanted to enjoy life with Anu and asks Anupama to fulfil her wishes by being on Anu’s side. With Maaya pleading to her continuously, Anupama starts breathing hard and holds her head in pain after which she gets up and starts to scream to get off the plane. Everyone gets shocked to hear Anupama’s story which Dimple says that Anupama is a crafty liar.
